(Unit 36)
During the lecture, the professor tells a couple of literary conventions that can improve quality of work. These two conventions are exaggeration and understatement. These are opposites. First, exaggeration is saying that something is greater than what it is in reality. For examples, some people say that they can eat a horse when they are hungry or that something was the gratest thing they have ever seen. On the other hand, understatement is saying that something is less than what it is in reality. For examples, some people say that something is not bad when it is very delicious or that getting an A on a test is just okay.
